    This straightener is awesome!! I have very thick, long, wavy/curly hair that takes forever to blow dry and straighten. My hair is not super coarse but since it's so thick it does hold its natural wave/curl pretty well, so some straighteners don't work on my hair. I have previously used a Chi but it finally died. I was determined to find a quality straightener for a better price. After a pretty intense Google search and a thorough read of the reviews, I decided to try this one out. It did not disappoint!!! I am surprised at how well it works, especially for the cost. It gets hot enough to straighten my hair quickly and it holds throughout the day! Works just as well or better than the Chi I previously had. I have only had it for a few weeks so I'm not sure what the life span is, but I don't straighten my hair that often so I may not be the best person to offer that information anyways. I have been telling all my friends and family about this one- I definitely recommend it to other!!

    I love this flat iron! I’ve had a Chi for years and would have never thought I could use anything else. It recently died and when I was online shopping for a new one this one caught my eye. It was on sale for a great price and got really good reviews so I thought I’d give it a try. I absolutely love it! My friends and family thought I had my hair done at the salon the first time I used it. It heats up very quickly and gets hot enough to straighten my curly hair while leaving it soft and shiny!     I had a chi for MANY years before it failed and was going to just buy another one but thought i would do a quick search online to see if there was something maybe cheaper. I read the reviews on this one and was hesitant, but i will say, it is comporabale to my old trust chi for a way better price tag! I have only had it for a short amount of time, so hopefully it lasts just as long, but im very impressed

    I'm actually really impressed with this product, especially for the price. I have really thick, curly hair that's hard to manage, and I live in Florida, so the humidity and heat has my hair curly again within a couple hours of straightening it. I ordered this straightener because the reviews were so good and I'm glad I did it. The product came exactly when it was supposed to and I immediately tried it out. My hair is pin straight and it's been that way for about 10 hours. Even with the heat and humidity, the thermal spray it came with is keeping the frizz and curls away and it still looks awesome. I would definitely buy this straightener again.

    Although I rely heavily on customer reviews, I very rarely write them myself. However, this straightener is so good I can't not write a review. I have tried/owned at a minimum of 5-10 different straighteners, both inexpensive and high end and this is the BEST. Amongst those are Helen of Troy, CHI, Conair, Wigo, Ken Paves, Bio-Ionic, and nova . Up until I tried this straightener, nova was my favorite and CHI was my least. I have normal/coarse/wavy hair-not crazy frizzy, but not pretty either. This straightener is the best in my opinion because:-it heated up very fast -has an on/off switch (which I didn't care about until I had a toddler) -heats to a higher temperature then my other straighteners, yet I do not feel like it "burns" my hair -my first test of any straightener is to squeeze it closed and check to see it closes tight/secure/no light can be seen between plates...it was perfect -my hair never got caught/pulled where the plates are attached -for the first time, my hair still smelled good/clean..not stinky/burned being masked by a clean hair smellIf this straightener died in a month, I would absolutely buy it again. It is worth every penny!

I didn't even blow dry first to smooth it out more but from the first section I used it on it showed that I didn't need to blow dry anyway. I love it

    I am in love. This Flat Iron worked so well for me. I have been natural for close to 3 years and I kind of missed having more manageable hair, so I took a chance with this Flat iron. Best thing I ever did!! Most good Flat irons are very expensive so I did some research, found this and crossed my fingers. Because of the thickness of my hair, I had to do small sections at a time.
